It is a Douro white wine, with a contemporary profile, intense and elegant, reflecting the versatility and passionate relevance of the wines of this region.

Citrus yellow color with greenish notes. Very elegant fruity aroma, well combined with mineral notes and vegetable nuances that give it great freshness. Coming from a vineyard located in the heart of the top-corgo, in the parish of Alijó, on the right bank of the Douro, with an average altitude of 550 to 600m, in shale granite transition soils.

After the alcoholic fermentation, the batches are stacked in stainless steel vats to better preserve its freshness and fruit. A small part is staggered in French oak barrels to increase complexity. Subsequently the wine is stabilized and filtered following a 3-month bottle stage.
It occurred between the 1st and 2nd weeks of September, at the reception, the grapes are protected against oxidation, after de-stemming they go to the pneumatic press. The must is left 24 hours in decanting, when it reaches the appropriate turbidity the wine is separated from the lees. The cleaned must is fermented with inoculation of selected yeasts. The fermentation takes place during 15 days with controlled temperature to not exceed 14 degrees Celsius.
Very elegant fruity aroma, well combined with mineral notes and vegetable nuances that give it great freshness.
In the mouth it has a lively acidity and great harmony between all the aromas. Medium body wine, very elegant and long finish.
Excellent to accompany fish, seafood, salads, pastas and all kind of birds. It's a great wine to serve as an appetizer.
The White velvet was thought to consume over the next two years. After this period reveals a positive evolution Save in basement, with the bottle lying down. Oenology: Jorge Alves / Valter Silva.
