Vineyard from Carpanha

In the streets of Penalva do Castelo, in the center of Dão, everyone knows Senhor Francisco through two simple things: the style and the grapes. The shape is rough and difficult to handle, the grapes are sweet and treated as if they were family. After hearing this story, the Casca Wines winemakers wasted no time. They found this Carpanha Vineyard, in the center of Penalva. A real Old Vineyard, miraculously planted in a stretch of clayey earth. Everything different, everything good and everything unique. With a simple handshake (and the promise of a few bottles), Senhor Francisco agreed to sell the treasure of his bunches, allowing us to treat the grapes with the usual care and pour their juice into six good barrels. Two years later this wine was born.

Thanks! To Mr. Francisco, for never having stopped cultivating a unique vineyard and for agreeing to sell us such special grapes.
